Reminder that there is no school tomorrow or Monday for students. Teachers and support staff have meetings and professional learning.

Mental Health Week Tip: : When people put their feelings and thoughts about upsetting experiences into language, their physical and mental health often improve. Writing about our feelings can reduce doctor visits and positively influence our immune system. Writing can also reduce stress levels and negative mood states. Giving attention to our feelings can help also help to ease anxiety. Naming, talking and writing about our emotions helps to regulate them by decreasing our anger or fear response.

Meaningful May Challenge: Look for people doing good and other reasons to be cheerful today.

Just a reminder that next Tuesday, May 11 is National Denim Day! HMMS staff and students will be participating in this campaign to help bring awareness and help with the fight against breast cancer. Please consider wearing denim and donating to this worthy cause. A portion of our weekly dress down funds will also be allocated to this initiative. So get planning your denim duds.
